It's day 8 of breaking my corset in and I've gone back to lacing slightly tighter today. I've worn my corset for about 6 hours today with a 2" lacing gap and measure 29.25" at the waist over the corset. I'm definitely approaching what I consider the fully seasoned mark with my corset now. I don't feel any uncomfortable spots of pressure, pokes, or protests from my muscles while laced in now and am obviously comfortable wearing the corset for fairly long stretches at a time.
You may have noticed that I'm not exactly consistent with how tightly I lace everyday, and frankly, if you're the same way there's absolutely nothing wrong with this. I personally prefer to lace only as tightly as I feel comfortable on any given day, regardless of how tightly or loosely I may have worn my corset in the past. Others, especially those who are waist training, may prefer to be more consistent about how tightly they lace. As always, I'd recommend experimenting and finding what works best for you, as everyone is different and will have different ways of doing things!
Along those same lines, I don't believe I'll be lacing this particular corset, the Aqua Iridescent Curvy Corset (TUR-S52) in size 26, any more tightly than I am now. As I mentioned in the post on "Choosing your corset" I have fairly wide hips and can feel that the hips of this corset are currently VERY snug against my hip bones / illiac crest. While I could probably lace this corset completely closed given more time, I don't particularly prefer the aesthetic of wearing a corset laced closed and doing so would make the hips of the corset tighter than I find comfortable.
